Bangladesh International School, Dammam (BISD) started its journey in 1986 by the grace of Almighty ALLAH and with the dedicated efforts of the members of Bangladesh Community living in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. Thanks to then Ambassador of Bangladesh. His Excellency Hedayet Ahmed whose help and official patronage enabled the school to be start on 01 Feb 1987. The Ambassador issued a formal letter to include the school as an integral part of education under the cultural wing of Bangladesh Embassy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
We believe that the school should serve the need of the students. They should be provided with stimulating environment and learning experiences designed to promote satisfactory adjustment to society or life. We are concerned with the total development of each child in the areas of physical and emotional maturity, social adjustment and interaction, ethical and moral values, intellectual and mental growth, development of skills and aesthetic sense and enjoyment.
Learning opportunities will be provided on the basis of individual needs, interest and abilities. Instruction shall be characterized by efforts to determine individual weakness and to base subsequent instruction on the result of the diagnosis. The student will then be advanced to next level when ready.
Our faculty and administration will utilize the most productive curriculum and methods to meet the need of children. There will be regular communication with parents regarding to each child’s progress or lack of desired progress. Parental cooperation and involvement will be encouraged through defined guidelines promoting effective parent-teacher relationship.
We do believe that “education is the birthright of every child. A child is born with immense potentialities”. So there should be such system of education where no child is ever rejected, where the child is the centre of every learning activity, where personal attention is given to every child focusing on physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual strengths which are four main pillars of education.
We wish to develop a student who has basic respect for mankind and a sense of duty and responsibilities as a member of the society
